In 2001, we opened our doors with the mission to provide a family feel to the complex nature of title and escrow services. We initially set out to support our friends and neighbors of Columbus, OH, and have since built a team of industry professionals with over 50 years of combined experience and expanded our services nationally. As a company we have seen many ups and downs in the market, but thanks to our dedicated team who always put clients’ needs first, we have managed to develop each year. Although our company has grown, we continue to take pride in treating all our clients like family, just like we set out to do over 20 years ago.
What We Do
Buying or selling a home is one of the most important decisions you will make in your lifetime. For many people the escrow, title, and closing process is quite overwhelming and confusing. For our clients, we make the process smooth and stress-free. Below are some of the steps we take to ensure an accurate and seamless experience.
First, we create your file and immediately begin to collect information from everyone involved with the transaction including, but not limited to, the buyer, seller, real estate agent, and lender.
From there, we order a title search from our inhouse abstract team. Our team researches the chain of title by examining all existing records, documents, statements, taxes, and any liens that pertain to the home. It’s like a background search for the house.
Once the title work and due diligence is complete, we prepare closing documents & settlement statements. These reflect the specific details associated with the transaction. At that point, we schedule closing with all parties.
Once the closing day has arrived, one of our closers or mobile notaries meets with the parties to gather signatures and the deed is delivered to the new owner.
We wrap everything up by recording the deed with the county courthouse.
