Editing guidelines
Bizwiki is a free directory of businesses that anyone can contribute to and edit. As the US focused part of this international network, Bizwiki.com aims to become the largest, most comprehensive directory of American businesses on the Web.
To do this we need the help of users and volunteer editors and moderators, people who are experts in their field or who just want to add their voice and help out their fellow consumers by providing additional information.
You are already registered with Bizwiki. You can now add businesses and expand business information.
Please read the Policies page for information on the types of content that Bizwiki does not allow and will remove.
Any registered Bizwiki user can submit a business for inclusion in the directory. It does not have to be your own business. Please first of all search for the business to ensure it is not already listed. If it isn't listed you can submit it using the Add a Business form.
Please ensure that the information you provide in the submission is:
- accurate;
- factual;
- verifiable;
- as comprehensive as possible;
- free from any sales pitches, hype or superlatives;
- free from personal opinion.
If a business is already listed in Bizwiki you can help your fellow readers by expanding the information. Whether or not it's your own business, you can add additional information such as the company's products and services, what they specialize in, what markets they serve, opening hours, payment types they accept, additional contact details and any other factual details that would be of assistance to a potential customer.
Please ensure that the information you add to the listing is:
- accurate;
- factual;
- verifiable;
- as comprehensive as possible;
- free from any sales pitches, hype or superlatives;
- free from personal opinion.
For further information please see the FAQ section on editing.
